NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK
The oldest and the only park in the world located within the city center. The big five are found in the park except elephants. Animal orphanage is also found at the main gate of the park.
Other attractions include, National Museum of Kenya, Karen Blixen Museum, Bomas of Kenya, the Giraffe Center and the city tour. It is particularly popular with visitors who want to get an idea what a Kenyan safari is all about and hopefully see some interesting animal interaction.

MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
The Maasai Mara Game Reserve remains one of the Kenya's best loved reserve.1, 672 sq.kms/1039 miles of wide savannah, rolling and riverine forest with huge grazing herds, bountiful birdlife and Africa's largest population of lions.
A spectacle worth seeing is the annual migration of millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles from the Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from June.
The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrant's predators can be viewed from early July to August. Hot air balloon safaris are readily available in the park.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
The park is famous for both its game and scenic beauty. The land cape is dominated everywhere by the majestic snow capped of Mt. Kilimanjaro which is Africa's highest mountain. Vast herds of Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Impala and Leopards are main attraction. Birdlife includes Pelican, Bee eaters, king fisher, African fish eagle, Martial eagle, and Pygmy falcon.
The park is one of the most popular and it offers excellent accommodation facilities. There are five lodges, two campsites inside the park. Kilimanjaro forms the backdrop of this game sanctuary and it is a sight to see and marvel at. The nomadic, richly decorated Maasai warriors who are deeply steeped in traditional culture entertain visitors with enchanting dances of ageless Africa.

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Also known as The Pink Lake, due to the huge numbers of flamingoes feeding in the lake shallows is the home to thousand of flamingoes, the White Rhino, the Lion, the Impala, Thompson Gazelle and the Waterbuck as well as other antelopes. It is one of the best chances to see the leopards as well as the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.

LAKE NAIVASHA GAME RESERVE
L.Naivasha is a bird-lover's paradise, the fresh waters attracting over 400 recorded species. This large (114 sq.km) lake is edged by banks of papyrus and thick forest of beautiful yellow Acacia Xanthophyllous thorn trees, with herds of Giraffe, Zebras and Buffalo.

ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK
This park offers dramatic highlands; huge trees in the foothills give way to bamboo forests at higher altitudes, with crystal clear streams and lakes teeming with fish and waterfalls that tumble into the rainforest below. The wildlife here tends to be rather shy and lodges put out salt licks to attract the animals.

MERU NATIONAL PARK
Famous for being the park where Joy and George Adamson released their lioness, Elsa and more recently, sadly, for the last white rhino that lived there under 24hr armed guard but were still nevertheless poached in 1988. The park is the transition point for fauna between that of central and that of northern Kenya. There are numerous rivers, the Tana being the longest in Kenya, and between them they support a good selection of wildlife.

SAMBURU, BUFFALO SPRINGS, & SHABA GAME RESERVES
The highlights of these national reserves are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have rich and colorful cultural heritage. The animals here include Leopards, Hippos, Elephants, Lions, Reticulated Giraffes, Gerenuk, Grevy Zebras, Bongos, Waterbuck, Cheetah, and Crocodiles in the Engare Uaso Nyiro River.
The Shaba National Reserve is home to the monument of Joy Adamson who, together with her husband George, contributed greatly to Kenya's wildlife as an author, conservationist and artist.
