This popular excursion is available on all safaris which include an overnight stay at any of the central Serengeti Lodges and campsites. It includes a pre- dawn collection from your accommodation for the trip to the launch site, take- off around dawn and a flight of around one hour duration.

The hot air balloon safari allows you to see the plain from higher above. The Safari starts at the south west of Serengeti National Park through the Serengeti plain and above the large herds of migrating wildebeest, zebra and residing gazelle and antelopes.

It mainly takes place early in the morning (06:30 am) before the sunrise. Balloons which are used in the Serengeti have the capacity of carrying up to 16 people per flight. Only two balloons fly each day; gives opportunity to take photos and having panoramic view of the mighty Serengeti. As such, advance booking and prior arrangements are highly advised to avoid disappointments.
